this scene gets predictably obnoxious when they start referencing the matrix, but it's jon voight fighting a dog! did you ever think you'd see that? since his fall from cinematic glory, i've seen him fighting babies in superbabies: baby geniuses 2 (by the same director, naturally), and documentary filmmakers (and his own dignity) in an american carol, but never a dog. this is degenerating into bum fights-levels of sadness and desperation. anyway make sure to watch around 2:40 when jon voight is violently licked by a cgi dog:





this scene is from karate dog, a 2004 movie about a dog that does ballet karate.

says imdb reviewer pepperwon, "it was funny and in a way sad when the dog got shot."

just like john voight fighting a dog is funny, and in a way, sad. on the other hand, the fact that i spent the last hour looking at clips from karate dog is maybe just sad.

that's chevy chase doing the voice of the dog, by the way. because that's what he's doing these days.
